I decided last week that I wasn’t going to venture out with the camera in the blazing heat of the summer. The hottest days for 50 odd years were forecast and I didn’t fancy wandering around in circa 40 degree temperatures.
So Monday last week I set off to take an image for the summer meadow challenge. This months Onelandscape challenge. Given I hadn’t been into the Peak District for a while I thought I might find something suitable to shoot.
On the way into Calver, my chosen destination, I spotted an old barn lying derelict, just off the main road at Sparrowfoot. I decided to stop on the way home and shoot a few images.
I wanted to shoot the weir on the River Derwent at Calver but was disappointed with the results. Undeterred I stopped in a lay-by at Sparriwfoot and shot these images. These were all shot with my Fuji X-T5, and Sigma 18mm to 50mm, f2.8 lens. They are all handheld and processed in Lightroom with Classic Negative film simulation as the start point.
