This month, in the Onelandscape group, we are doing a challenge that will be a tough one. Mainly we try to make sure an image has a main subject and we try to feature that subject in each image. This months challenge is to take an interesting image that doesn’t have a main subject that is the focal point of the image.
Simple I hear you say! Not so, say I. Finding compelling subjects is a constant struggle for all photographers. So to find an interesting image with no main subject is harder than you’d think.
This weekend I thought I’d get a start on the project. I decided to take a walk up through Dearden Wood, following the brook but going well beyond where I’ve been before. These images are a selection from the walk I took with Charlie.
These are all taken hand held on my Fuji XPro3, with the 16mm f2.8 lens. All edited in Lightroom with Classic Negative film simulation as the base.

I’m not sure I’ve nailed it within this selection but I’ll keep trying.
