I lived in Oldham for 27 years, and for about the first 13 of those years I would visit this location with my family. To be truthful when we were little we had no choice mum and dad would bring us hear dispute our protestations.
So last week on my visit to the Portland Basin Museum I happened upon the garden centre in Daisy Nook. Google told me that was the nearest spot to get a bacon and egg butty. So as I sat munching I reflected on the past and concluded that a visit to the Country Park would be on the list.
As it turns out that visit came sooner than I expected, nonetheless, I parked at the car park at Bardsley Bridge and decided to follow the path, wherever that took me.
The morning yielded around 65 images of various things, but this posting is to showcase the reflection images I took. Given I’d been reflecting on my childhood as I walked around, it seems fitting.
These were all taken on my Fuji XT-5, with the Sigma zooms, these give me an effective range of 24 to 75mm full frame equivalents. All images are edited in Lightroom, with Classic Negative film simulation as the basis to edit from.
