A Trip to Afionas, Corfu

We decided we wanted to have a trip to the lovely village of Afionas, which sits in the hills not far from San Stefanos. This is, of course, during our recent holiday to Corfu. Yes we have been on this evening out before but there are lots of lovely places to eat here and the views are to die for. We booked the trip through San Stefanos Travel (for all your holiday needs) and were picked up by Angelos. Our friends Carol and Dave were also on the trip and Carol had a recommendation from a forum member on where to eat. Which turned out to be Zeus Throne, food was great, service was excellent and the views are spectacular.

Having been fed and watered we had a walk around the village to see what we could spot, from the various viewing points and the lovely narrow alleys that host shops these days.

I’d travelled with my Fuji Xpro3 camera and had the 16mm f2 lens on, for the hold trip. These images are all taken handheld and edited in Lightroom with Classic Negative as the base film simulation.

This really is a lovely place to visit and at the same time test your photography skills as it was really quite dark (as you’d expect in the evening). Some of the other images I took are fabulous compositions but the slow shutter speed meant a little to much camera shake for my liking. I hope you like these images and it inspires you to visit this fabulous village.
