The weather has been a bit rubbish this last few days so my desire to get out and about took a back seat. That doesn’t mean to say that I didn’t want to do any photography, I just needed to rethink where and when.
I’ve already had a taste of historical buildings etc with my trip to Chatsworth House earlier in the week, so I decided to have another visit to Bramhall Hall. When I checked the website for opening times etc. I noticed that the hall is undergoing renovations.
Now this is a good thing in my book, we have to look after these historical buildings. So I decided I’d concentrate on capturing the smaller details that can be found around the house.
It’s daft to say this but I’d forgotten that I’d purchased the Fuji 33mm f1.4 lens, so decided that this would be an ideal opportunity to try this new lens out. Limitations fuel creativity someone famous (or wise) said recently.
Here’s the results of my endeavours, I hope you like these more intimate detail shots.

All these images were taken on my Fuji XT-5 with the 33mm f1.4 lens, all hand held. I processed these images in Lightroom with the Reala Ace film simulation that is baked into the JPGs. These are all RAW files.
