The Other Side of Corfu

I’m on holiday in Corfu, and again I’m staying at Teresa’s Sunset Hotel in San Stefanos. Yes I have brought my main Sony Alpha 7 IV with me but I thought it would be good to focus on the less glamorous elements. Any of you who have been to Greece will recognise this first image, or will have seen buildings in some similar state. This type of building is all over Greece.

I took this image from the balcony of the room we are staying in. This building has been in this state for at least 15 years, well it was like this the first year I came. There was once am attempt to add some brickwork, but that is as far as its got. I’m really not sure why this building hasn’t been completed and made into some apartments but it intrigues me each time I come to visit this neck of the woods.

This image gives you an orientation as to where the half completed building sits, both in terms of the wider landscape but also to the hotel we are staying in. You can see the hotel down the left of the image, and the main road running through the image. The half built building has a prominent location on the hillside, and im sure would be a great addition to the accommodation in this resort. It would have great views of the sunset im sure.

This last image id taken with my iPhone 13 Pro Max from the sun terrace at the hotel, the half completed building is less than 100 meters away and judging by this image, you’d get great images of the sunset from there to.
