Mersey Vale Nature Trail Walk – 11 11 2025

This weekend I didn’t have any time to get out with the camera mainly due to being away at a friends birthday party. Whilst this was in Staffordshire I had to dash back the day after. It was also City versus Liverpool on Sunday so no real time for photography.

So today I’m dog sitting at my sons but thought I’d take the opportunity to have a walk with camera as well as the dog. Just near were Ben lives is the Mersey Vale Nature Trail, so this post is the story of my walk along the trail as well as walking along part of the River Mersey.

The images are ordered in such a way as to show trail from start to where i left it at the old bridge full of graffiti. the images show you the trail and give you a sense of what. It’s like to walk along this trail. Once alongside the River Mersey I walked along the section that is closed to the public due to subsidence, and there is an image that shows the level of subsidence, and it looks like it’s getting in worse. There are also a few images on the river itself.

These images are all taken on my Fuji Xpro1, on the 23mm f2 lens, all with Provia film simulation as the basis for editing in Lightroom.
