Ludlow Visit – Part 1 – The Castle

I’ve had my eye on Ludlow for quite a while now and most people who’ve been have given it a good review. So it was only a matter of time before I visited.

Today was forecast to be the best day weather wise this week, so I booked the train tickets and off I went. I had it in my mind that the visit would be in two half’s, the castle and the town.

The castle is literally next to the town centre and wasn’t that difficult to find at all. I spoke with a lovely lady on the train who sat next to me for some of the journey who gave me directions and she wasn’t wrong.

I hadn’t looked at a great deal of pictures of the castle as I like to make my own mind up on what images to shoot and not be too swayed by others. This is a selection of images that I took from a wider group of images. They are all taken on my Fuji Xpro3, with the 16mm f2 lens, which is 24mm full frame equivalent. I really like this focal length. They are all handheld.

The processing was all done in Lightroom with the camera match Fuji simulation Classic Negative, with a few other tweaks. I’ve tried to adopt an overall style with the processing to give the pictures a moody look. I hope you like them?
