I’m not exactly sure who this is an exact quote from but I know it as the opening line to the song Design For Life by the mighty Manic Street Preachers. I’ve always thought that this was a great lyric, and for some reason I decided that this week I’d spend some time exploring the John Roland’s Library in Manchester. I’ve lived around Grater Manchester all my life but never actually got inside this building. I’m glad I did though as this is a great place to visit, and it’s free!!
My mode of transport into the City Centre these days is by train! Traffic and the awful traffic routing in the city centre have all forced me to use the train. So off I went to Stockport station, I’m still a luddite to the internal combustion engine as I drove to the station! I know, I know! These are a selection of the images from my trip to the wonderful John Roland’s library.
The images are in chronological order! So a walk through if you will!!
