Today I’m looking after Charlie the cocker spaniel, and as I expected as soon as he saw my face he was wanting to go for a walk. Fair play to him he had been out for a couple of hours this morning with the dog walker.
Rather than just head around the usual route I decided to head up onto the hills above Edenfield. As always I had brought a camera with me as there would be a time for photography over the weekend, in this case my Leica Q3.
On the walk I tried to take a slightly different route by following the public footpath across the field about half way up. By following this path it eventually led me to an old farm, which intrigued me and will be subject of a separate blog post.
Eventually me and Charlie emerged back onto the main road directly opposite the parish church. I’ve had several goes at taking photographs of the parish church in the past, without much luck. Today I decided to try a little harder.
This is a selection on images that give you a feel for the church, where nothing is straight and walls are wonky!! Whilst the light is flat as a pancake (again) I still think this is a decent set of images of the church. I hope you like.

This is a really quirky little church and I hope these images do it justice. All images taken on my Leica Q3 and are handheld.
