Companion Stones - Complete

The use of stones to represent things is nothing new, it’s been around for centuries. This is not confined to one part of the country they are literally everywhere. I’ve recently come across a number of modern stones that intrigued me, and this project will document what are called the Companion Stones. These are dotted across parts of the Peak District and are essentially companions to stoop stones, which are historical way finding stones. There are 12 stones and this project aims to catalogue the stones themselves, as well as how they are in the context of the location they are located in.
