Last weekend we had the pleasure of a weekend away, we stayed in Malton in Yorkshire, but visited a few places over the course of the 3 days. These images are a selected few from the images I took, these are all iPhone15ProMax images but have all been edited in Lightroom. Whilst I had my main camera with me, sometimes it wasn’t appropriate to spend the time to set up the tripod etc.
On Friday we stopped at York on route, and whilst I’ve been around York Minster several times I havent actually been inside. We decided to put that right.
On Sunday we decided we would have a walk on the Cleveland Way, well actually we decided we wanted to visit Rievaulx Abbey, and the OS Map showed a walk from Helmsley to the Abbey. We did think we would visit Helmsley castle when we got back to the car, but by the time we did get back to the car we were both a tad knackered! These next set of images are in and around Rievaulx Abbey, a lovely place. The weather wasn’t the best but whilst it did rain it wasn’t so bad that we were soaked to the skin.
This next and final image was taken on the way back to Helmsley, and is on the Cleveland Way. I’m not exactly sure where but this lone tree caught my eye and when I reviewed the images later it struck me that this was a black and white image.
