A Trip to Chester

I’ve planned a day trip to Chester for a while now and each time I thought I’d go, something cropped up. So yesterday I decided that yesterday was the day. There is a direct train from Stockport to Chester but does take 70 mins, but it’s a pain to park in most cities. Besides, a trip on a train is an adventure……….yes I am only 14.

Once off the train I headed for the centre as I knew how to get to what I wanted to shoot from there, this collection of images are from the centre, the walls and the cathedral. These are all shot on my Leica Q3, as I really like the limitations of the fixed focal length, it’s a challenge. At 28mm it’s not really wide wide, but you can get quite a lot in the shot, maybe having to move around a little to fit everything in.

There is a mixed bag of subjects but these are in the oder that I shot them on the day. I’ve tried to edit them to have a similar look and feel, so they stand as a cohesive whole. I appreciate this is quite a lot of images in one blog but I think these tell the story of my walk around the lovely city of Chester.

    1. Hi Les, no this is my usual Leica preset for my Leica Q3, I think the lighting in the cathedral was fabulous. Mind you the sensor is 60 megapixels so it should capture all the good stuff. Thanks for the kind words.
