This weekend will be busy with a trip to Wembley to watch the Treble winners play Chelsea in the semi final of the FA Cup. That’s a full on day, couple that with a need to work until mid afternoon i decided to put my Fuji X100V to the test on the Manchester Tram system. I’ve used the system on and off over the years, but thought it might be a good test for the Fuji.
The tram system doesn’t stretch to Stockport just yet so i had to drive to East Didsbury tram stop, at Parrswood. I decided that I’d i’d get on and off the tram and explore the stops all the way over to Withington. The images below are a selection from the 58 images i took.

The weather forecast was that the rain would stop as i headed out, and that exactly what happened. There are lots of these walkways all across the tram network but this does make for a great set of leading lines.

This is the tram leaving Didsbury Village, my first stop.

Tram stops and railway stations are a photographers paradise, well certainly with the leading lines that the platforms, tracks etc provide., I like the hint of reflections on the platform from the rain.

It was only when i was processing the images that i realised that the drive must have spotted me with my camera and decided to give me the V sign, thankfully the victory sign. Good on you mate, I lie this.

Well where else would i be going!!

Don’t forget your ticket!! I snapped this image as i waited for the tram. I’m not a lover of including people in my images but this lad has his back to me, so that’s ok in my book.

Looking down on a tram just fare leaving Didsbury Village.

Technology is a wonderful thing and these little terminals are great as you can tap in and out, even using my iPhone!

The end of the line. I climbed a small wooden barrier to get this image, I couldn’t resist the lines created by the tracks, it adds a lot of depth to the image.

I again didn’t realise until processing the images, but it looks like I upset the bloke on the left of this image, he’s giving my the evil eye for sure. The framing of the tram in between the two metal posts is what caught my eye with this image.

Love the Manchester trams 👍🏻
