This past few weeks have been incredibly busy, and along with another Covid infection its meant I haven’t been able to get out at all with my camera. So rather than just not post anything i thought I’d post a few images from recent walks. These are alternative images to some you will have seen on this site, my blog and also my instagram and Facebook accounts. I’m hoping that I’m on the latter end of the Covid virus and will be back out with the camera very soon.

I absolutely loved the shoot at Ladybower with the plugholes overflowing, and this is one of several different angles that took of the second plughole, the one away from the road. As you can see there’s Bamford Edge in the distance which was bathed in lovey sunlight.

If you’ve been a regular visitor or reader of my blogs you will recognise Cheesden Old Mill in the image ‘ above. This is an image i took as part of the Industrial Heritage challenge i undertook recently through OneLandscape Coaching group. Locals will say that you can see a mermaid showering in the waterfall, but i remain to be convinced.

I have a fascination with gates and doors, as well as old stone posts and walls. This is an image from a stroll i had a few weeks ago when I testing the 40mm f2.5 G lens I’d just taken delivery of. This image shows the church in Holcomb village in the background, with the main subject being the gate and the posts.

No surprises that there is a shot of the Peel Tower in this montage, i really like this part of Bury and I’m continuing with my attempts to nail the best composition that includes the tower and the Manchester Skyline behind it. Whilst I don’t think this is by any means the perfect composition, i do like it.

There are lots of great walks around where Tracey lives and this is one of the very first we ever did together. This is on the way to Birtle Moor Tea Pod. I like the way the path winds its way down towards the farm in the distance. On this occasion i was in the lead had i had Charlie off his lead and i was desperate to make sure he didn’t rush off into a field.
So not the bets blog post but i wanted to keep the rhythm of posting every could have weeks going and didn’t want recent inactivity to spoil that. Keep watching for more original content.
