A Few Re-Edits

It’s been a funny a last few weeks, there has been absolutely no time for photography, and it’s fair to say I’m not at all happy with that, but what can you do. I’ve had another bout of Covid and really did floor me, and the 5 days in bed followed by the 9 days of feeling totally knackered where not a great lead up to Christmas. Anyway enough of the wingeing.

One way to keep active with photography when the ability to go out isn’t possible is to have a look through the back catalogue and do some re-edits on some older images. The images that follow are all images that haven’t been posted anywhere previously, but looking at these images with fresh eyes, they do have an appeal.

Regular readers will know that i have posted images of Millstones, in various locations, and these millstones are on Stanage Edge, and coupled with some night light mean that this images has a certain appeal.

This image is also on Stanage Edge but was taken on a different visit with different light. The two images are in a very similar location but are all of a similar subject matter. Maybe this could be a project for 2024………..who knows.

The Great Ridge, what a fabulous Ridge Line this is, it really is a great walk and whilst it is a busy place and favourite of walkers of all abilities. This place as a feel that’s hard to describe, i like this image, the sweep that the Great Ridge is looks very appealing in this image. maybe a walk between Christmas and New Year is required.

Winnatts Pass, I’ve wandered around this area quite a few times but have never really felt that the light or the composition was quite right. Having another look at this series of images, there is some nice evening light here, but maybe this image would benefit from a few cars and maybe some light trails. This is a popular spot and searching Instagram you can find lots of images from this area, it feels like my own interpretation of this area is required.
